Luxury Wedding Fair - Autumn 2019

Wow, what a weekend…we’re still coming down from what was our busiest Luxury Wedding Fair to date!

We welcomed a steady flow of couples from when the doors opened at 11.00am to  4.00pm when we waved the last few goodbye. The weather was a bit hit and miss but it really didn’t matter as we had so much for our couples to see and do inside, across the whole venue!

On arrival couples were greeted with a complimentary glass of fizz and serenaded by the incredible Alis Huws on the harp. If guests had pre-booked a tour then we would take them to the first floor of the Hall and show them around the bedrooms, facilities and all important Honeymoon Suite. The Stables accommodation was also open and available for guests to have a walk around which was a real treat and a highlight for many!

Couples and their friends and family were invited to take their time and walk through the Dining Room, bar areas and into the Ballroom and Marquee where the majority of our wedding suppliers were exhibiting. The relaxed vibe on the day meant that couples were able to have a good chat to our suppliers about their plans and ideas whilst also exploring the venue and grounds.

This year we had some pretty amazing displays and mock ups so our couples could really visualise how their wedding could look here…

Serendipity Flowers created an autumnal-inspired floral display in the Dining Room, working alongside White Flamingo Stationary who included some of her beautiful wedding stationary such as decorative menu cards and place names. 

Framing Alis Huws beautifully in the Hallway was an amazing floral installation by Luna Bloom which continued up the grand staircase and an epic neon sign by the fabulous Uplit Events featured also.

The Ballroom…we were so happy with how this room looked once everyone had finished setting up! We had the ever wonderful Pheasant Botanica who produced an amazing display using incredibly delicate dried flowers (…so classy!), as well as teaming up with Knock Knock Penny Studio and Tipples to create a wedding breakfast table lay out to die for! This featured beautiful glassware and gold cutlery as well as gorgeous wedding stationary and a table plan...

 

For couples who were up for venturing outside, they were in for a real treat in our summerhouse! We had our famous Geoff the Giraffe in position surrounded by a balloon display by Weston Events. This was a real show-stopper and looked so amazing in our light, bright summerhouse. This room was also set up for an intimate wedding ceremony so couples could really see how this space could be utilised. 

 

Last but not least the majority of our suppliers set up in the Marquee, many of whom were handing out business cards, samples and tasters (thanks caterers!)…for a full list of suppliers who exhibited please see below.

There was such an amazing atmosphere all day, and as usual it just goes so fast for us but it’s always a real pleasure to meet so many fab new couples and get chatting about wedding details with couples who have already confirmed their wedding at Garthmyl Hall! It's also a lot of fun to handpick our recommended wedding suppliers and means our couples get a chance to meet these talented folk face to face too!
