The Stables, Self-Catering Cottages here at Garthmyl Hall
Here at Garthmyl Hall we are very happy to announce that The Stables are now officially finished and ready for guests to stay. We have been working hard over the past 12 months to renovate the old Victorian stable block, clock tower and dog kennels here at the hall into self-catering cottages.
Being situated on site at Garthmyl Hall they are the perfect additional accommodation for your wedding and party guests, taking the total now accommodated on site to 45! However if you don’t wish to take them that’s also fine, when you book your wedding here at the hall you are only committed to taking all 10 bedrooms inside the hall itself.
If you do not reserve or book The Stables for your wedding weekend here there is a slight chance that they may be booked out as self-catering cottages to holiday makers. Anyone staying not in conjunction with a wedding will have strict guidelines not to wander around the gardens and hall during a wedding.
Here’s a sneak peek into each of the cottages and a little write up. If you wish to book or have any queries regarding The Stables please contact Polly or Julia on thestables@garthmylhall.co.uk.

The Clock Tower
The Clock Tower is a beautiful four bedroomed spacious self-catering cottage with amazing features throughout. The property has one downstairs bedroom which is suitable for disabled guests or those with limited ability, it has a king size bed and walk in wet room, and although this is a practical space style has not been compromised.
The living space downstairs comprises of a large fully functioning kitchen with double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and tiled parquet flooring, flowing through to the open plan dining space with green velvet chairs and huge table seating up to 12. The sitting room has soft velvet tones and hints of floral fabrics used throughout the cottage really give the interiors a warm inviting look. There is a separate utility room and toilet adjoining to the kitchen and a small patio area at the back where guests can sit out and enjoy the evening sun.
Upstairs is home to three more generously sized bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The largest of the bedrooms has a super king bed with stunning exposed brick work and beams, dressing table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, oak floor and a roll top bath inside the bedroom, this bedroom has its own bathroom which happens to be the main family bathroom which has a shower and another roll top bath.
The French bedroom as we like to call it has beautiful grey French double bed, dressing table and drawers, more stunning beams and a lovely en-suite shower.
The beautiful landing has a large full length mirror and chandelier which leads up another set of stairs into The Clock Tower bedroom; this bedroom really is a show stopper, it is not suitable for very tall people as the beams are very low, the bed is a low to the floor platform bed with a roll top bath under the Bell (which doesn't ring so don't worry!) There is a glass balustrade and steps that lead down to a beautiful large walk in shower and marble sink. The toilet is in a separate room out of sight.
The Old Dairy
The Old Dairy is the largest of the four properties with five spacious bedrooms and a very open plan kitchen and living area. The cottage has been styled on a very modern French country chic look, with panelled walls and hints of grey throughout.
The kitchen is a large area with a dining table and low hanging chandelier. It comes with dishwasher, radio, fridge freezer and double oven. The sitting room is partially separated by the oak open tred glass stairs. You can find a small utility room with a washing machine at the back entrance of the cottage with a toilet and access to the paved patio area.
There are two bedrooms situated on the ground floor of the Old Dairy, one of which is a single bed which can also be a twin with a put up bed, this is complete with en-suite. The other a king bedroom has a marble sink inside the bedroom and a shower, the toilet is inside the utility area.
When heading upstairs you can find a large family bathroom, with both a bath and shower inside against exposed brick work. There are three bedrooms and one with en-suite shower. This bedroom has a double bed, dressing table, chest of drawer and hanging rail, one other bedroom is a double with antique French velvet bed, dressing table and hanging rail. The final bedroom has a super king bed with chest, dressing table and hanging hooks.
Ty Bach One & Two
We have two Ty Bachs, which means “little house” in Welsh. These self-catering cottages used to be the Victorian dog kennels in a previous life, each Ty Bach is made up inside two kennels.
Both have a double bed, television, hanging rail and chest of draws. There is also a small kitchenette with a kettle, toaster, sink and microwave. They each have a large en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower. Outside we have placed a set of table and chairs so you can enjoy the sunshine.
They are the perfect set of small self-catering cottages.
