Open Air Cinema Experience

Here at Garthmyl Hall we are always looking for different ways for our guests, both regular and new, to enjoy our beautiful Hall and grounds. Our latest endeavour was setting up an open air cinema experience in the stunning Walled Garden.

From the offset we got our Facebook followers involved by setting up a poll to decide what film would be the most popular. It was a very closely run race, but Pretty Woman pipped Beauty and the Beast to the post by one vote!!

The evening itself went without a hitch with 200 excited guests cosying down with their chairs and picnics to watch the film enjoying what was the best weather we could ever have hoped for! 

The rustic Summer House was open and housed both the Pimms and Prosecco Bar and the food - chilli and nachos and even a doughnut wall!

A very happy guest said:

‘I loved it! It was so nice to do something different with my friends. You could not fault it, even if you did not bring a large picnic or soft drinks the bar was open, Chilli and nachos on offer and even a doughnut wall!! I really enjoyed it and it was nice to see so many families, couples and friends all coming to watch such a classic film. When’s the next one? I can’t wait!’

Due to the success of this event we will be showing another film in our Walled Garden this October, but be warned, it will be a scary one!!!!
